Yearbook

The GHS Yearbook staff is a tight-knit group that works together to produce an annual publication that serves as a lasting record of all students and activities during a given school year. The publication’s name changes yearly and is chosen by the staff.

Yearbook is a scheduled journalism course that meets in the fall during second block. The staff meets as needed in spring to complete production. Students have access to computer design programs and use an online platform created by Jostens to design the yearbook.

This is the student's yearbook, so the student staff is responsible for the design and completion of all pages. All members share jobs, which consist of selling ads, fundraising, taking pictures around campus and at various events, layout design, brainstorming, and editing. The yearbook advisor advises and steps in when needed.

Students interested in serving on the staff may apply in late spring for the upcoming school year. Members are selected based on skills, writing style, teacher recommendations, and grades.
