Coach: Leslie Lancaster
Assistant Coach: Collin Ray

The Grenada Lady Chargers fastpitch softball team is a favorite on campus. Team camaraderie and a dedicated fan base make home games at the softball complex a must-see experience.

Beloved head coach Leslie Lancaster has been with the program since 2000. She has coached many players to collegiate teams and has helped build a robust program by cultivating young talent through a strong intramural league (grades 4-7) and junior high softball team (grades 7-8).

The Lady Chargers field a junior varsity and varsity team during season play, which runs from February to late April. Among the most popular events are an annual Strikeout Cancer game against South Panola, and this year’s schedule includes an Autism Awareness game DeSoto Central . The team has several tournaments scheduled and will host a middle school and JV tournaments.

Tryouts are generally held in May, and intramural league is held in August and September. Off-season conditioning and weight-lifting are held in the softball facilities.
